Love, but...

I love your subject. Trent is a muse of mine, both musically and in the visual arts. I recognize the picture you referenced from, and although it's not my favorite phase of his, I still like what you did with it. The only thing I'd have to say is that the wings (I think?) are a bit odd, and I don't feel like they quite match his body position. He seems like he's twisted around a little.

Hey, I'm glad you like the drawing :) Regarding the wings, yes: they are a little bit odd, it was an experiment, I wanted to 'separate' in some mode all the elements of the drawing by 'style' and by 'media'. The background is completely made with acrylics, the face is basically painted with watercolours and the wings with ink (with a little touch of acrylics). I think it's why they look odd, like if they don't belong to the body or something.

Pretty schweet

Overall, very good. The color and blending look incredible. Chalk pastel is a difficult medium, I think... I was never any good at it. The only thing, and I have to say it, is that the proportions seem a little off, on the side of the face we can see, between the eye, nose and mouth. Still, very very good! Done in a mirror, or from a photo?
